Does Pearl make octobans? I am getting a full set of high pitch and low pitch octobans with my masterworks kit.
Yeah Pearl makes 'em. I forget which size they are, but I don't think they have low octaves in their line up. But maybe you should try them first to see if you like them. If you've never played Pearl octobans, you should probably test them out before you blow a bunch of cash on 'em. They probably sound fine though.

Yes, they do. They are made out of aluminum. 6x12, 6x15, 6x18, 6x21. You can get them in black or white. I think they sound better than the Tama one's, and I have those!

They are infact called quarter toms, Octobons are made by Tama.
The shells are made out of aluminum and can be purchased in either Black or White.
The sizes of the shells are all 6" in diameter but vary from 12" - 15" - 18" and 21" in depth.
On the Pearl website the prices are the following:
Model Description List US$
AL-0612 6"x12" Quarter Tom 129.00
AL-0615 6"x15" Quarter Tom 139.00
AL-0618 6"x18" Quarter Tom 149.00
AL-0621 6"x21" Quarter Tom 159.00
ALX-1215 AL-0612 & AL-0615 with T-800W tom stand 427.00
ALX-1821 AL-0618 & AL-0621 with T-800W tom stand 457.00
Hope this info helps.

Vanilla -
Pearl only makes 4 sizes (but they cover the same tonal range as the Tama Octobans). Be sure that you also order all the hardware you need to mount the Pearl Quarter Toms.
Tama makes 8 different sizes.

its pretty simple Pearl Quater toms project much more than Tama Octobans, however octobans have a warmer overall tone. I have Tama Octobans now, but had a set of quarter toms years ago when i was playing an MX kit.
i liked them alot at the time. i'd go with the quarter toms and have them painted to match after you get your maserworks kit.
