I have a SRX Piano Black kit. I have exposed wood showing on my kick.
Does Pearl have a touch up for that?

I wasn't looking for color opinions, I'm looking for touch up paint. My set looks awesome, and I always get compliments.
Enjoy your mist.

Import restrictions prevent us from brining in touch-up paint from our factory.
I suggest taking your drum to a drum shop that does custom painting to see if they can repar the exposed part.

Not to cause a controversy, but what kind of import restrictions? Is there something dangerous about the paint, or is it more innocent than that? Just wondering - I mean it's just paint, right?. :-)

I don't know the specifics. I only know that I've asked and the answer has always been no can do!

go to pep boys and get the same touch up paint you would use on cars. luckily your color can easily be matched.

I've used nail polish with pretty good results on small scratches. The key is not to use too much or you'll end up with a "scab" that looks worse than the scratch. I have an Emarald Mist finish that was scratched almost to the wood and found a polish that matched pretty close. I took a toothpick and applied a very small amount into the scratch and it's almost invisible, although you can still feel it if you run your finger across it. The problem with having it refinished is that you have to have the whole shell done or the repaired area will stand out. Another problem is finding a finish or paint that will match the other drums. Being that black is a pretty common color, yours may not be that hard to match. Hope this helps.

Just a thought but restrictions apply possibly because of the content in the actual paint. Many paints contain lead and other toxic substances..........i'm not sure if this is the case with Pearl's paint but it could be that customs feels that the content of the paint is not deemed for use by individuals. Just my 2 cents worth.
that's just wrong. idiot, i hope you get banned.
