I just added a 8 " tom to my kit and it has the I.S.S. system and I love it. I'd like to add the I.S.S. to my 10", 12" and 14" toms. What do you do with the hole from the previous collar on the tom. I realize the I.S.S. holder will cover most of what is seen, but is there something that goes right on the opening of the tom?

Thanks Vinny,
Do you know if it sticks on or does it require screws?

it requires screws.

actually they're carriage bolts with a smooth head on them to help improve appearance... included with the GK90.

I have a Forum series drum set and I heard the GK-90 doesnt match the screw holes on the forum shell. Is this true? I was planning on getting an Optimount but if its true the cover doesnt fit ill wait on it. And I think I would also have to get shorter tom arms because they wouldnt be able to go through the shell.

Optimounts come supplied with BT3s (the tom clamp) and are only drilled for them. The ISS is also only drilled for the BT3 but the BT3 has to be purchased separately. So you'd have to redrill the mounts, AFAIK, for your tom holders. OR upgrade to TH88s or better.

If you get a good sound out of your Forums, great. If you think suspending them is going to improve their sound tremendously and not be cost prohibitive, you are wrong. Use them as is and later use the cash for the suspension mounts as part of a shell upgrade. Spend money now just for quality heads.

If you could pick up some used items cheap, that's another story. But new parts, forgiddaboutit!
