I found that a reasonable price (more or less for everything) is the catalogue price minus 25-30%.
Are you sure there are expansion pieces for the Forum?

Yes, I ordered a 10" Forum tom.

If I can give you an advice: don't spend much money to expand a forum. Use it to study and save your money. One day you'll buy a real killer-kit. May you can buy some cool hardware like a double pedal or a cool snare...

You can find details about forum and the other series and prices on the catalogs available on the pearl site. Download the "2002 Pearl Drumset, Snare Drum, Hardware, Pearl Percussion and Accessories Price List" catalog, you'll find everything!

Hey, don't knock it Cyber. I am doing the same thing.
Yes it's true that the Forum kit doesn't offer as much add on peices as the "higher end" kits do but it is still possible. Right now, I have

2 22x16 Bass Drums
16x16 Floor Tom
14x14 Floor Tom
13x11 Tom
12x10 Tom
14x6.5 Snare

Even with that, I have a tight budget as I am still going through highschool and my only income is a part time job. Email me if you want to know some budget drum stores. I would probably get kicked out if I posted them.. LOL I thank you all for keeping Hair Bands and 80's Metal alive...

Hey Cyber, not knocking you opinion, but I have played for 20+ years and have a Forum kit. I have used it for gigs and recording. Yeah, I have some more expensive stuff, but it is the drummer not the kit which is the key. You may be an excellent drummer, maybe better than me and you should know that a skilled drummer on the cheapest kit will rip some punk who dropped $8,000 on some DW stuff. I do agree a person should always buy the best quality they can afford, but to me drums are a small piece of the equation. Good cymbals, good hardware and the best kick pedal (Single or Double) you can afford are more important than the drums. Let me throw in a good snare which meets your needs and desired sounds.

I have thrown whole drum kits into the garbage, but cymbals last forever!

Wow this thread of mine is old! 09-17-2002  Back in the days I wanted to get a second bass. Hmm, cool idea by the way. But I'll have to buy another pedal, a new hihat stand. Change my setup etc etc etc etc.

Not the case Tom.
All you need is
22x16 Forum Bass
High hat to bass drum clamp
another pedal....
I bought a Gibralter clamp for about 40 bucks Canadian. The pedal cost me about 20 bucks on eBay, (THANKS A LOT!) and the bass drum was $239 US. Now they only ship to the US and I had to pick the thing up from my aunt's house. There is another store that ships worldwide. I will message you with the link so i don't get banned. LOL
