so i saw a thread on another forum that had a link to a replacement peizo for a ddrum trigger on ebay. I figured what the hell i have this old worn out bass trigger i'll give it a try for 10 bucks. I just plugged it in and gave it a few taps with my finger it works:) The real test will be when i hook it up to my bass drum tomorrow. Here is a little pictorial:
1st pictures is the old trigger with the new peizo lying on my laptop

i used a tiny flat head screw driver to scrape away the glue holding the sponge in place and then pealed away.

disassemble and unsoder old wires, i always use a pair of plyers when soddering in tight places.

route the wires through the plastic holders

all soddered up and ready to be reassembled, and i glued down that sponge with some "liquid nails" (no super glue in the house) worked fine.
