Does anyone think this could make a practice pad feel more like a marching snare? I would just try it myself but those things are impossible to get off and i dont want it stuck on there if it doesnt work so i figured id get some opinions on it first. Thanks in advance

Interesting idea, but i think your going to have issues with it peeling. Those impact pads are designed for blunt impacts in for the most part, the same place consistently (Spelling?) I would guess sticks would cause it to push down far enough that it may creep and/or get edge curl.

Try a test. Tape a 4" impact pad down on your practice pad with masking tape around the edge and see how it feels. It may not be worth it.

Mr. Johnson said the closest thing to a practice pad feeling like a really snare head is Tile floor. Now the easiest thing to do ..... and cheapest. Go to Lowes or home depot. find a nice board you can cut into a 14'' or 13'' circle. Then go to the tile floor section and pick up a piece. And Glue with the strongest adhesive you can find. I made my tenor pad that way.

So i tested out the falam slam on my pad (HQ real feel hard side). It didnt make a noticeable difference to me in feel, but it did help with hearing the articulation of each stroke.

Get an offworld invader pad. They are incredible.
