Does Pearl make an OptiMount for a 12X14 6 lug tom? I just bought a new 2002 ELX fusion set. It has the 8X10 tom, 9X12 tom, and a 12X14 tom. I also purchased a 16X16 floor tom to go with the set.
I have an ICON drum rack and have upgraded to the OptiMount hardware instead of the I.S.S. mounts.
My problem is that I cannot find an OptiMount to fit my 12X14 mounted tom. The 1112 OptiMount and the 1314 Optimount will not fit because the lugs on the drum are spaced too far apart.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately we don't currently offer an OptiMount that will work with 14" toms with 6 lugs.
We are constantly striving to improve our products, the OptiMount included.

Thank you for your quick response.
However, your answer poses another question. How do you mount the 12X14 drums in the Session and Masters series drums?
All of these kits come with OptiMounts, right?
If there is not an OptiMount to fit my tom and there are no leg mounts on the shell to use as a floor tom, is my only mounting option the I.S.S. hardware?
I have included a couple of pictures from your website that I was using to build my kit. What size drums are these? They all seem to have 6 lugs.
Thanks again for your help.

12x14 Session and Masters toms have 8 lugs and the OptiMount fits this spacing.
You can use the I.S.S. or another suspension system such as RIMS.
Gauger sells the DynaMount: http://www.gaugerpercussion.com/dynamount.html.
I don't know if it works on 6 lugs drums, however.

Have there been any updates or changes to the OptiMount sizes? I am still waiting for Pearl to come out with an OptiMount for my 12X14 6 lug Export tom.
You had mentioned that Pearl was working on another design for tom mounts. Do you have one on the market yet?
Thanks for your help,

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only idiot out there that wants to put optimounts on my Exports. If you do a search you should find photos of the altered optimount I had made to fit the 12x14 tom.
Oh forgive me great Gods of Pearl, but I am still quite perplexed why you don't make the OptiMounts for the 6-lug drum, but you've always ignored my posts in the past. Seems to me it wouldn't take a lot to alter the Optimount to fit both 8 and 6-lug drums. It took about a 1/2 in. more metal than the current design when I altered mine. Or, why make a 6-lug drum in the first place? What it saves you about $10.00. I don't think that is going to change a purchasing decision.
Tell the truth, did the engineers just forget about the 6-lug drum or did you start making a 6-lug drum after the OptiMount design and just don't want to change it?
By the way, I don't have the exports anymore, sold them and bought a BRX kit.
Good luck all
