I think BD has this in the bag, but if anyone were to top them the Crown and Cadets have the chance too.

I'm guessing tonight will end like this:

1) Blue Devils
2) The Cadets
3) Carolina Crown
4) The Cavaliers
5) Santa Clara Vanguard
6) Bluecoats
7) Phantom Regiment
8) Boston Crusaders
9) Blue Stars
10) Blue Knights
11) Glassmen
12) The Troopers
13) The Colts
14) Madison Scouts
15) The Academy
16) Crossmen
17) Spirit

Right now 1 through 4 is pretty volitile, everyone is moving alot, so it's hard to say "this is exactly what it will be". The battle from 7 through 9 will be pretty intense to watch as well.

I'm wanting to see crown win one visual is the only thing keeping them behind BD.
It has been awhile since The Troopers have made top 12.

More than that man, haha. The last time The Troopers made Saturday night was 1986.

Kjac; see, "awhile" on the internet is a broad spectrum word that has no real grammatical interpretation. Instead, it is used more as a place holder for those of us who are too lazy to actually choose an exact time.

I'm just B.S'in ya, haha.

PS: Let's Go BLOO!!

This year was their 75th anniversary, so they went back to the original name of the corps for this year.

Congrats BD on a solid performance; and congrats Bloo for kickin' Cadets out of the 4th place spot for the percussion scores.

Yeah, I realized I had been watching this guys page when he had put those vids up; but since I have the 09 WGI DVD, I don't need to watch his page, haha.

SCV has my favorite moment of drum corps this year by far, the company front with Simple Gifts being blasted at "epic"...Oh my god...I love it.

Marching technique; if you watch the performers they have some sloppy carriage and footwork, phasing issues...etc. BD's marching technique is damn near flawless, they pretty much set the bar as far as what marching should look like.

And, in the end, BD had the ultimate package, they had everything you need to make a championship show, you can't beat that out in the end.

I guess I was just expecting more big band sound and it ended up sounding a bit more symphonic then i expected.

edit: it's more so that I wanted crown to win because well it's my states corps. But just seeing them in 2nd place and their line smoking, my gawd!

Ah, yeah, I know what you mean. You'd expect some swingin' jazz to blow down the house and you get Phantom Reigment instead...hahaha

I think Crown will be the one to really watch for this next year, they just need to clean up the marching and they'll get themselves a title.

Which Phantom Regiment isn't bad by any means, Jazz based corps and a show titled 1930, it was unexpected.

Phantoms best show imo was 2003, despite getting 1st last year.

Oh no, I love PR, one of my band directors marched there in 1995 and 1996, I love their stuff, I was merely playing up an extremely overdone analogy.

2006 would probably have to be my favorite from the last decade with 2003 in a very close second.

well hey. at least you guys have a corps in ur state. i'm in indiana. all we have is world championships. lol. :D but i would almost consider the blue stars a home state corps for me because they have their camps and spring pre-tour camp at the indy state fairgrounds. don't know why?

Ahh, I think then 2003 wins on the "In Person-Epic Meter". I do love both of those shows though.
