So I'm the Drumline instructor of my old high school this year. I am slightly worried about the stock music parts. Last time I played them, the drumline judge said "Okay guys, this music's too easy for you all." I want to avoid all of that. So i plan on re-arranging the parts, is this a good idea or should i just leave the stock parts alone?

Yeah I say rewrite them if you have the ability to do so. but make sure you keep the skill level of the line in mind when you're writing...

Why don't you just pick more advanced pieces in the first place?

They were already ordered before i became the instructor.
All i really plan on doing is adding a few rudiments and diddles. I just wanna spice it up a little. I want it to be easy but look like its hard to play.
