If you buy the dvd, there is a bonus feature where Jeff talks about his equipment. But to answer your question, yes. On his Carbonply drums he uses either the MX White or the Pearl stock batter over an MX5 with the staccato disk.

it loooks like it and i think evans has a prepack of all those things!

Evans sells a pre-pack with all of those components, except the batter is an MX Gold, not the MX White.

awww safe thanks alot i have the dvd just never been on the bonus features. i'll have to check it out.

Did you get just the dvd or the book and dvd? I'd love just the book, but might go with both if its great.
