The Adams Artist Series MAKF-46 (4.6 octave) and MAKF-50 (5.0 octave) Marimbas are designed for all outdoor applications on and off the field, these instruments expand the available octave range beyond 4.3 octaves to suit all your performing needs.
Artist Series Marimbas feature New ZELON Synthetic full size and graduated bars that provide warm tone, superior projection, and unmatched durability when subjected to the outdoor elements of sun and heat. All bars are tuned through the sixth overtone for very precise tuning and voicing creating a well balanced sound through the entire range of the instrument. The resonators are constructed using a welding method as opposed to rivets, this ensures the utmost in strength and safety from mechanical noise that could fault a performance.
Designed for rugged use the Adams Endurance Field Frame comes as standard equipment on both models with the Patented Voyager Frame System for effortless adjustment to a wide range of playing heights, four large 8" pneumatic wheels for handling rough terrain with ease, and features oversized frame post for added stability.
The Endurance frame also features 1" 9/16 Rack that spans across the front for mounting PC-10, and PC-50 Pipe-Clamps to meet the modern demands of adding cymbal arm attachments, snare drums, and other accessories for serious pit action.
The Adams Endurance Field Frame is also offered as standard equipment for the new MCKF-43 Marimba, XSKF-35 Xylophone, AV-1F and AV-2F Vibraphones and is available separately as an add on package for all other Adams Artist, Concert and Soloist Series Marimbas, 4.0 Concert and Soloist Xylophones, and the AV-1 Vibraphone.
