Okay so a month or two ago i posted a thread asking what kind of legs i needed for my Session floor tom and two or three people told me the lg-40's would fit. i ordered them online (almost 50 bucks!) and they didn't fit, they're too small. I took my floor tom to a guitar center and took some "thicker" legs off a gretch floor tom and they fit. does anybody know what size they might be? the guys who work there didn't know. All i know is that they're thicker than the lg-40's.

To be more specific i have a prestige session select. can anyone help me out???

Sounds like you need 10mm (3/8") legs then...

But how is too small a problem?
Can't you do up the screws in the leg holders tight enough to hold the legs?

No they're way too small. it doesn't even kind of hold them in place, no matter how tight.

Is 10mm thicker than the average legs?

legs come in 9.5, 10.5 and 12.5. The Fl-40 are 9.5. I am pretty sure you would need the 10.5 like are on pearl exports. You can also get the gibraltar brand, which are exactly the same. Here are some 10.5s. The gretsch you used are most likely 10.5. you can also check guitar center for the same Gibraltar parts. They typically stock them and they might have a set in stock you can try just to make sure. If not, here is a link. MUCH cheaper than $50. send em back!

Hmm. My PSS came with the LG40 legs w LB 40 brackets on the drum. Perhaps your drum doesn't have the LB 40 brackets?

it definitely doesn't have the LB-40 brackets. Apparently it's an older PSS model

Did you get this straightened out?

His session was a pre 1995 it used the thicker LG-30 with the LB-30 bracket.
User=killabee agreed that the LG30 with the LB-30 brackets were the correct one's.

The LG30 are no longer available but there are after market parts that gibraltar and others make that are suitable replacements with the same thickness.
