How do you attach your spock drums to your drums one and two on tenors, instead of the back bar?

Most I've seen are attached to the bar, but I prefer them being attached to 1 and 2

I will post something very soon about this topic... I just did a custom mounting of the 6" to drums 1 and 2 at Renegades and it works very well and it looks like it was done at the factory. Hint: I used a similiar idea based off the new mounting system of the Yamaha Sumo tenors. I will post some pictures and some steps to how I went about it when I get a chance.

Feel free to ask any technical questions of you got them... the process is alittle to detailed and I don't have time to type every step.
The short of it is you need 2 swivel spacers. You modify one of them to face the other way by removing the embedded threaded piece... again if you want detail feel free to ask but I am not going to go into for sake of time.
You of course have to do some drilling... Probably best to measure but I actually just kinda eyeballed it and came out golden.
Hope the pictures do it some justice.

I would say www.Steveweissmusic.com but I just checked and they are not listed individually.
As for it being cheap... this by far the best way to mount a 6" drum to drums 1 and 2. most of the drum corps that march just 5 drums mount them this way but I have never seen anybody use the swivel spacers... we went the whole summer at Renegades and never had an issue... very solid setup.
oh yeah... and the spock drum is height adjustable... very nice feature if you need it lower than the rest of the set.
