Hey guys.

i was just wondering. I have played the drums for 4 years (nearly 5) and i'm wanting more and more to join a marching band. I feel it'll be good and fun. But my biggest problem would be, I live in Australia/Victoria and i was begging to think that there is probably no marching bands in Australia, Since it's soo unique to America.

Does anyone know if there are marching bands in Australia/Victoria that are reasonably good.

thanks patt

no there is not. I worked in Japan as a rudimental percussionist with an Aussie and he studied percussion in Cambera and said the only marching perc. he has seen or heard of was when he participated in the olympic drum line in 2000 (?) . You might find a pipe band though ( scottish style). Besides that just get all the videos you can and learn rudiments and come to Japan or America to be in drum corps.
