I just got my RH-2000 eliminator pedal a couple of days ago... I went through all the instructions as described through the manual, and everything's fine up to the point I'm at now. When I push down on the pedal, there's a kind of grindy feeling going on... I should specify, it's a bit more than just a feeling; it's accompanied by a slight grinding sound, too, very unlike my normal hi-hat stand that this one is meant to be replacing. If I were to guess, by where I'm hearing this...I'd say it seems to have something to do with the tubular section below where the cymbals sit (I've tested for this grind with and without the hi-hats in proper place, and it happens both ways). That's about all I can describe as far as the situation goes, and well, it's anything but smooth feeling/movement... :(
Should I have to grease something, or what?
All in all, it's kind of upsetting right now as I have studio time coming up and I was kinda depending on this piece of equipment. I mean, if that's how it's supposed to be, then okay...but I'm heavily doubting it.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much in advance,
