Just wondering...do you guys sell a set of congas with a set of bongos (with the congas, so it's four percussion instruments in one setup), that come with either a bongo stand, or some sorta contraption that allows you to mount the bongos on the conga stands? So far, all I've seen right now on the Musicians Friend website is this arrangement by LP, and some other company that I've never heard...

I've posted this question before, but not directly to you guys at Pearl, so that could be the reason you guys never responded, OR you guys are very busy, with your current job (I've seen your responses to some question that people asked Modern Drummer, and/or DRUM! mags), plus answering/monitering this website, as well as your current job(s) at Pearl . Thanks much for your time and effort in this matter, as you know (by now), that it is very greatly appreciated by me, as well as other curious drummers and percussionists on this webite!

Hi -

What Pearl has to offer is the QRS multi-stand, which will hold two of their Elite congas (11" and 11.75") and then the QRS Bongo Bracket which enables their 2 Elite bongos (7.15" and 9") to be attached to the same QRS multi-stand without removing the congas.

You would need to purchase the 2 Elite congas, the 2 Elite bongos, the QRS multi-stand, and the QRS Bongo Bracket seperately in order to build the set-up you are looking for:

Pearl Elite 11" Quinto = $469 (wood) or $389 (fiberglass)
Pearl Elite 11.75" Conga = $499 (wood) or $429 (fiberglass)
Pearl Elite 7.15"/9" Bongos = $299 (wood) or $$249 (fiberglass)

Pearl QRS multi-stand = $259
Pearl QRS Bongo Bracket = $79

The prices above are "list" prices. You should be able to find these items at 45-50% off of list price at Guitar Center, or certain internet sellers.

Hey,

Thanks for the help. Do you know if Guitar Center has a website, and I know that Musician's Friend and Interstate Music are on the web (I've been to both), but those two are too expensive for me, at the current time. Do you know of any other sites that might be not so hard on the cash? Thanks!

Sanman -

Guitar Center has no website (that can accept orders anyway). However, I'd suggest that you contact the nearest Guitar Center and ask them to order the items for you and to have them shipped to you. If you are out of their particular state, they shouldn't charge you any tax on the purchase either!

You could also try midwestpercussion.com because they can have the items shipped directly from Pearl for you, and you would pay no tax, and the whole order would be large enough to qualify for free shipping!

Try calling Paul Henry at the Guitar Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota at 952-929-1680.

Please note that the prices above are List prices. Most dealers do discount off of those prices.

Thanks,

Glen

You can order from MassMusic.net. Andy is an awesome guy and everything is usually 50% of off the retail price. I just spent over $4,000.00 with him on hardware, cymbals, and cases. I highly reccomend them. I will order from him when I get my new hand percusssion stuff.
