The PCW-117DX "Conga" (11"-3/4), PCW-110DX "Quinto" (11") and PCW-125DX "Tumba" (12"-1/2) are all constructed of the finest hand-selected aged Thai Oak for superb musical quality and professional durability. All drums feature unique shell dimensions patterned after a 100 plus year old Cuban design making the Elite congas the most authentic sounding congas available. Partner this with premium quality Buffalo heads, contour crowns and extended collars for improved resonance and playing comfort, and it all adds up to exceptional sound with super sensitive response.
When it comes to tuning the Exclusive self-centering lug nuts keeps tension hooks centrally aligned for ease of use. Also featured are triple bolted tuning plates for added strength to prevent "bowing" under extreme tension. 6 tuning lugs per drum provides even tension for the most precise tuning possible.
Each drum has "Polished Steel" hardware for a durable and unique in appearance and a universal stand-mounting bracket for attachment to double conga stands.
The Exclusive carrying handle can be attached to the stand-mounting bracket if desired for ease of transport.
Elite Wood Congas are also available in three super high gloss, grain -through finishes including; Tropical Blue#516, Natural#511 (matches Masters Series drum set finishes), Island Shadow#517 and Raspberry Fizz#520.
Don't let me forget to mention Elite Congas are also available in fiberglass models featuring Bistre Black #602 & Deep Orchid #607.
