Ok, so I bought my Visions today in black fade (more on that later) and the guy asked me if I wanted extended warranty. I mentioned that they're supposed to have a lifetime one, and he mentioned to me that the lifetime one isn't available in Canada.

Anyone want to clear this up for me?

Ps. The Bass drum is toooooooo powerful...bananas.

No idea, he told me if I had to get something replaced after his "1 year warranty" was up, I'd have to pay to ship it and get it back.

Where did you buy this kit from? While I do know some warranties are valid in certain countries I highly doubt this is the case with Pearl. This sounds like a scam to get you to buy into some sort of extended warranty or "service" plan that would only make them PURE profit.

I bought it in St.John's, Newfoundland, Canada. At a store called Musicstop, which was recently bought out by Long & McQuade.

I miss my old drum guy that worked their, their manager is the drum guy now, he doesn't give any deals, and he doesn't seem like an honest guy. FYI, my old drum guy quit there because he hated the manager, as did most of the employees there. He told me it would be a 3-6 month wait for a 14x14 visions floor tom.

The wait time is true. The Vision kits sold out in Canada a lot quicker than Pearl predicted. They [Pearl Canada] is waiting for more stock to arrive.

i agree with ac, he's just trying to run a profit out of you, and if you old drum guy didn't like him, and YOU even feel he's being dishonest, i would shop elsewhere.

Sorry to derail the thread, but I thought the lifetime warranty thing only applies to drum shells? What about hardware? Can someone clarify?
