Would upgrading my EX to a vision be worth it for the money and sound quality? Everyone is saying how good they sound so i might want to start saving up for one.

The Vision kit is definately worth it for the money. It's probably one of the most professional sounding kits I've played (and now own), that's not actually considered pro level.
As for upgrading from the EX...
Some people would say that Export to Vision isn't a big enough "jump" to upgrade. They'll say that now that you're putting in cash for a new kit, you should get the highest line kit possible.
I say whatever works for you. I really don't see the point in saying "Why get a Forum when you can get an Export? Why get an Export when you can get a Vision? Why get a Vision when you can get a Reference? etc.". The reason why is because we don't all have 2 grand laying around the house to spend on a drumset.
I recommend that you go out, play a Vision so you get the hands on experience of the kits sound, build, looks, etc. Then analyze your financial situation and make a decision. After playing a Forum for 6 years, I'd choose the Visions' birch-ply shells over poplar any day. The Vision could be the perfect kit for you, or you may want to save a little more to upgrade to something even bigger. Only you can decide that.
Hope this helps

i agree with drummerman.
most people who tell you not to upgrade to visions when you already have an export no nothing about the visions, or have not played one, or are just getting ansy about a little basswood in the shells.
think of it this way; most people would agree that buying a Pearl sessions kit was a worthy and totally justifiable upgrade from and export or forum, without going overboard.
Now with visions you have a kit that sounds practically exactly like the birch version of the sessions (sbx) but with great hardware to boot. Why is upgrading to this any less intelligent?

I've heard enough of them even with the stock protone heads to know they sound great. Nice attack and good fundamental high's on the smaller toms, and the floors sound phat and thunderous, thanks in part to the 6-ply 10mm birch ply shell. The kick sounds amazing right out of the box with no muffling, tight phat and punchy! Modern Drummer really liked it even with the stock heads.
I think its an excellent step up from the Export line, both in terms of quality and sound. What we tried to do is give you a Session quality kit at the price point just slightly above the export line.
