Here's a short clip of the new drums. It's recorded with the tiny mic on the digital camera, so the audio is as such...

Vision sound test. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7X4XfZLRUQ)

The sound was a little distorted but you could still pick out the different tones. Overall I would say pretty good,...... especially the kick, and that snare rocks!! Nice playing too....

Are you using the stock heads?

Damn, that floor is deep. When you were playing the floor and the bass together, that sounded so good. Love the toms. And good playing!

Edit: Wait, I just looked at your other thread to check out the specs on your kit. Is that a 14" or a 16" floor? And how big is your bass? 20" or 22"?

I can dig that snare. Floor tom sounds awesome as usual. The small tom sounds a little funny cause the mic. What heads are on it?

Thanks guys! They are the stock heads except for the sensitone classic II That's a coated pinstripe batter, And a hazy on the snare side.

Yeah milk, that was triplets between the bass and floor. And it's a 16" floor and 22" bass.

I remember my old ELX sounded awesome with the floor tom/bass combos - I got them both sounding deep as and loved it.

yeah, you gotta remember guys, this isn't the same miked up situation like when mr. rose played them. (which there they sounded GREAT even with stock heads.)

download you tube videos from other drumkits like superstars and pro-ms and the difference is almost not even there. if you watch some videos involving masters kits and the like, the difference is there, (even if its a bit small) but you can def. hear it.

Remember guys, this recording isn't professional, nor does it involve heads better than pro-tones!

Yeah but I posted a recording recently and the consensus was pretty much that the bass drum sucked... And yet, to my ears... it's a whole heap better than the way this vid makes out that bass drum to be. Maybe i'm deaf or somethin! :o

playing was average, tuning was average to poor. I'd really have to hear the kit in real life to make a decision.

Sorry.

No need to be sorry! Everyone's got their own opinion. And all are welcome.

oh really? he was using stock heads, and the recording wasn't the best ever. he wasn't busting out with regards to playing either, he was just showcasing the kits sounds, which by playing slow beats, give a much better idea than thrashing the drums to no end.

the tuning could have been spot on, and the recording didn't let us now. Don't be so quick to pass judgment.

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! The fan on my laptop is broken, thus limiting it's use, and I can't hear any sound whenever I try to watch youtube videos on the family desktop computer. Man, and I really need to hear you play so that I'll know what my competition is!

I enjoyed the clip and after playing a Vision at guitar center I am a bit of a Vision Freak!!! Ok, What did your other rack tom do to you to be put in isolation and segregated from the other babies? Why do some people put a rack tom in a corner or use it as a table? Punishment for what crime? FREE ALL RACK TOMS AND LET FREEDOM RING!!!!! :D

I need to get the adaptor so as to mount one of the toms to the left of where the one in the video is, so I can get my ride right up in there.
