Our Adams XCHV-40 4.0 Octave Concert Series Xylophones are constructed of carefully selected Honduras Rosewood bars for a rich and balanced sound. Rosewood has long been considered the perfect wood for the production of all mallet instruments. At the lower register of the keyboard the bars are wider then graduated as you go up for optimum sound quality and playability.
For precise tuning and voicing the XCHV40 is tuned through the sixth providing a balanced sound through the entire range of the instrument. All Resonators and rails fold in half for easy storage and transportation and the patented Voyager frame system allows effortless adjustment to a wide range of playing heights. Height Adjustment range: 31.5" - 39.3" Rosewood Tuning: A=442 Hz. Range: C4 - C8 Length: 56" Low-End: 33" Hi End: 23" and the XCHV-40 includes covers and mallets to get started and protect you investment for years to come
