We received good news over night. Our new 900 Series Hardware won the M.I.P.A. award for the Best Drum Hardware of 2007and the new Travel Conga won for Best Percussion Instrument of 2007.

107 magazines from all over the world got together to vote for the best products of 2006/2007 in more than 40 categories. The awards have been presented to the winners at a special mipa-Party/Awards-Ceremony held during Musikmesse / Prolight + Sound, March 29th, 2007.

More than 300 international representatives of manufacturers and distributors of musical instruments and audio equipment have joined for the 8th mipa Awards Show including guests from the USA, Canada, Japan, Brazil, South Africa, Russia, Poland, Great Britain, Italy, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

This proves that the mipa Musikmesse International Press Award has become the "Grammy" of the Musical Instrument/Pro Audio industry.

Al - what criteria is the award based on? What do they mean by "best" when they say "best hardware?" Affordability? Durability? Construction? Adjustability? All of the above? I think the 900 series stuff looks great. I'm just a curious kid ;)

Its 107 magazines worldwide both international and here in the U.S. voting on the "best New" for 2007. I would guess some of the criteria is innovation, price points, construction, durability all of the above I guess.

There are over 40 catagories; drums, percussion, hardware, guitar, audio visual, etc.....

Yes, we certainly have it inventoried that way, so dealers should be able to order the 900 series hardware components individually.

A big thumbs up to pearl for the 900 series hardware. I bought a snare-stand recently, extremely satisfied, sturdy, stable, with no gears!!!! Very price-efficient as well.

Congrats Pearl! You deserve it. I recently bought a Vision and the 900 hardware is awesome. I love the hi-hat stand, except the only thing that bugs me about the hi-hat stand is that my drop-clutch doesn't work as well with this 900 hi-hat stand than with your other hat stands.
