im looking into a vision laquer(vlx??) 'black fade' kit
sizes i am looking at are:

20x18
20x18

8x7
10x8
12x9
14x12
16x14
18x16

my main interest is if they make these sizes in the vision series, and also if they make 18x16 hanging floors?

i am basically after somthing top of the line export quality .. maybe even session quality (even though they dont exist anymore) if that makes sence
if it doesnt, i mean mid range drums but the best quality mid range drums you can get .. exsample : laquered shells not wrapped, virgin bass drums

is vision what i am looking for? or should i be looking into somthing else

im open to any suggestions .. but please keep it pearl ..... im not too interested in other brands

for that money you will spend on this set i would rather buy one of new masters custom, or go with the sessions. i don´t know why people always want to buy quantity instead of quality. this doesn´t make sence to me.

if i were you i would think about that again.

but if you really really want and need quantity for that kind of music you play, go visions.

basically im after quantity AND quality .....another thing .. if you have a decent set of drums and a brilliant set of well tuned heads on them they will still sound very good.
Not to mension down the track upgrading is always an option

The only size Pearl does not offer in the vision series you are requesting is the 14x12. The Vision size is 14x11 (Hanging).

#231 Black Fade looks as nice as the Reference's Twilight Fade in quality. The wood grain patterns and hi-gloss finish is spectacular.

oh and that is also great news..... twilight fade is pretty much what i was going for.
also you wouldnt be able to tell me where abouts the vision series stands against say export .. and session? im guessing its inbetween?

You are correct, in the Vision series, the 16x13 hanging is available. The 900 series hardware in price and quality is right in between the 800 and 1000 series as you'd expect.
