Release Date?

Okay well I went to Guitar Center yesterday looking to place an order on a set of these, to find out that the GC website lied and the guy at the GC store said they won't be out for purchase for atleast another month an a half.

Can somebody tell me a date when they will be out? Massmusic, Guitarcenter and all the other websties already have them up, which is very misleading.

MY local GC called Pearl Friday and got a 2-3 week ship date.

Hold yer horses! It's not unusual for there to be a waiting period between NAMM and when items are ready to be shipped. Frankily I think Pearl is getting these Vision kits out pretty quick!

Yeah, I've heard late Feb. Though I know some universities have them already.. might have to work my magic with my music profs.

I think end of February is better than June/July like Pearl did with Reference
back in 2005. We had a limited amount on hand at NAMM. Those will be sold as B-Stock. There are Vision kits on their way on a container now. Its 30 days on container to U.S. Ports from China. Thus the slight delivery time delays.

I'm just impatient because this is the kit I want to get and it sucks having to wait. I guess you are right though, I should be more optomistic about it.

There is a chance they will be able to be purchased before the month's end though, right?

I think you can preorder at most shops. I'm talking to massmusic right now about having one dropshipped.

I too understand your impatients. My band's doing a live show dvd march 16th, and of course, I want be commencing the electric church on some new visions.

Even used their "chat online with somebody" thing and the guy just made me wait for 20 minutes before giving me his email, tellinbg me to email him. That was like 4 days ago and I still havn't gotten a response. I have tried messaging Andy on aim, no response. I know guitar center isn't the greatest place but atleast people there will communicate with you so you can purchase something.

Just pick up the phone. THey have an 800 number. Its freee and you get to talk to them.

I take back my negative comments about Massmusic. I talked to Andre there today, and cleared up all my questions about the visions and also all the other newest lines that are in this same category for sets.

Talked with MassMusic today. VSX is available now, all colors. $839 w/900 hardware pack. VLX won't arrive to the shops until July (has anyone seen one in stores?). Special order VSX toms, i.e.; 18" floor tom, 4-6 months lead time. VLX same story after store arrival.
My GC has a VSX shell pack- 10",12",14",22" &14"sn. Gunmetal sparkle-$599. Weight on the kick is incredibly heavy. Heavier than my 24"x16" 80's MLX kick. Hardware is f***ing excellent. Compared right next to an ELX and a TAMA SC. Workmanship is beautiful. 1.6mm hoops?- gonna put Opti's, that should do.
I want it. Want to play it, but they told me they're not gonna set it up. Going to ask again. Last thing I need to do to buy. If I get to play it, I will postback. Love the Red Strata, but never seen it up close.

Shell thinkness reminds me of Sonor Force 2000,3000 of the 90's.
