Have any of you purchased the special edition of "A matter of life and death" from Iron Maiden? It comes with a DVD and Nicko shows his kit - ALL SIG REFLECTORS except one RUDE Crash.

He also has a HUGE GONG in REFLECTOR finish too..... DAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!

So thats what comes with the special ecition! Cool!

Does he actually explain his kit and cymbals, or is it just a quick clip showing behind his set?

Very quick stuff, he doesn't go into details. But he says the RUDE crash is his favorite and that the snare drum is 30 years old and sounds awesome on that record. He gave props to Kevin Shirley (he recorded many Dream Theater albums) for the HUGE sound of his drums. Dickinson also says the drum sounds and Nicko's performance are his favorite aspects of this album. Impressive!

Last one.... I wonder if his floor tom is a normal 18" or if it's a 20" - that thing is BIG.

I KNEW IT!! I KNEW IT!!!

I said something like: "I think he's using all Sig reflectors now.. Except maybe the 17" rude crash/ride on his right that he loves so much" in some thread here or on paiste-only.. I knew his custom sig bell ride was a ref, but nothing else.

So I rock.. :p

Thanks for posting pics.

Paiste just made him a 26" Ride with his face on in. Nicko gave the factory workers Maiden commerative placques or something.
