What do you guys think of this cymbal?

I like the sound of it.

The reason is that I would like another crash and a china but don't have the funds for both. This one is a combination of both right?

Great sounding cymbal. I was so close to buying one, but I didn't want to spend the money in the end.

What size you thinking of getting?

yeah, it is kind of a like a mix between the two. I think it would be cool to have one, but I wouldn't buy one unless I had all the other cymbals I want, like as an added accent and option. It sounds really interesting. Did you listen to the audio at www.zildjian.com?

MJ: oh yeah!!!
smoothgroove: I LOVE the sound of it. I think it's more crash than china though, am I wrong?

I'd probably go for the 20". I'm the guy with the el cheapo Pearl China until I have the $ for the Zildjian. Maybe I'm better off with a pure China? Any suggestions? I play mostly rock, Bad co., Boston, AC/DC, someday maybe Zeppelin etc..

I have one and its an amazing cymbal. I have the 20". I don't usually crash it, I use it more as a "cymbal swell"................very trashy and different sounding and again, an amazing cymbal

adamsara0507: pardon my ignorance but what is cymbal swell?

It is an excellent trashy crash, but I have also used it as a jazzy ride. This is a very sweet cymbal.

Well, I guess a "cymbal roll" would be a better word. When you get cymbal malletts or sticks, and just start low rolling on the cymbal and then roll on it until it gets louder

I've got the 18" version. Awesome. I love it for crashes and for swells. Very trashy yet versatile. It's not a one-trick pony.

TB? As in Terry Bozzio? Nope, he uses Sabian cymbals.
