Hey guys, does anyone have a picture of a kit in Marine Blue Fade?
i have seen the one in the NAMM 2002 section of the site and it looks good, but i want to see some other pics of anyone has em....I am gonna be buying an SRX soon and I can't decide on a colour.
Thanks in advance.

No pics here, but I own a set and they are my favorite of the finishes.

I actually finally got to see this color in person yesterday... Pictures can't even come close!!! It is absolutely stunning!
The grain shows through beautifully, and the finish shows hints of green/teal under certain lighting... <drool>
If I decide my next set will be an SRX, it'll be in marine blue fade!:D

do you all think that Pearl's Marine Blue Fade on the SRX is as good as or better than the one offered on the Tama Starclassic Maples?

no biased opinions please!!

Well, I did see a Tama Starclassic maple kit in a shop in that same colour, and I have to say it was beautiful... I'm sure the Marine Blue Fade on the SRX is great too, I don't think that the picture shown above is an accurate representation of what it is like on the SRX, I saw a new 9"x12" SRX tom for sale on eBay a month or so ago, and it was more like the pictures on the Pearl site from the winter 2002 NAMM. Very very nice indeed...

thanks guys!
that one pic seems to be the one from the color selector but thats cool...but Drum313 answered the exact question that was in my head, which was how much the grain comes through which is the seller for me, when I order my kit next month it'll be in Marine Blue Fade.
Thanks again!:)

lateral,
Glad I could help! The beautiful grain is what absolutely floored me when I saw these drums... Like I said, pictures don't do justice to this color. I know you'll be very happy!

it is from the color selector. yeah try shining a bright light up to these drums. . .you'll get some even nicer golden tones from the darker drums.

How come all the session and higher sets dont come in deep blue?i mean, all i have is a double bass set in double blue, and it looks AWESOME! They should make session and master sets in that color,i mean, there are other great colors too,no doubt, and im getting my little brother the 5 peice forum entry level set,the same one i started out with,in deep blue.well, either way,Pearl drums rock and my next drumset will probably be platinum mist or midnight fade or something, ill happily take suggestions.well,i just felt like gettin this off my chest,so,umm,DRUM PEARL!

I had a set of Marine blue fade for a day or to....I decided to send them back and go with the masters drums in midnight fade.....But.....Marine blue Fade is an awsome color in person....in sunlight...stage lights , night lights..lol.....that is the best color iv ever seen....I wish masters would come in that.....If there wasnt a 6 month wait on special finishes i would have went with marine blue fade instead of midnight fade...but.....its all good......Now if the drums would just show up!!!! lol
