Well i've just bought an Alesis DM5 drum module/brain. I'm using it to trigger my kick and possibly my toms for live use and recordings with my deathmetal band.
It doesnt come with any leads, or actual triggers etc so can anyone reccomend me some good triggers (somthing that wont false trigger) and leads to purchase ? As im a complete n00b at this kind of thing at the moment.
thanks alot,
Adam. :)

The Ddrum triggers are great, but a little pricey. You could certainly make some yourself. They are just a piezo element pressed against the head.
The double/false triggering really has much less to do with the trigger than it does the module and its settings.

thanks, although im on a budget at the moment, but i was looking into the ddrum redshot triggers, they dont seem as pricey as the high end one's. Do you guys think they'll be good enough ?
Also any leads you could reccomend ? like any reliable brands you know of which are easy to get hold of ?

Yeah, the redshots work every bit as well as the Pro models, in fact they are the same piezo, too. They just aren't as durable, so try not to smack the actual trigger too often.
Probably a TD-6V, if you are looking new. If used, a Ddrums 4SE, TD-6, TD-8.
