I am looking for some good drum mics and i came across these on ebay. I only need to mic the bass, snare, tom, floor tom so this set would be perfect. Anyone have expiernce with these mics or know if they are good?link (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-AUDIX-FUSION-4-DRUM-MICS-KIT-PLUS-FREE-stuff_W0QQitemZ260036883011QQihZ016QQcategoryZ4146 4QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

You're not going to use overheads? Well, for "budget" mics people seem to like the Audix mics. Do you not have a lot of money to spend?

my dads friend gave me 2 really good sure mics (not sure what model) that arent for drums but they acually work really good on the drums so i am going to use those for the overheads. right now i have about 200 to spend

Are they dynamic mics? Try to post pics or find out what kind, b/c they might be useless as overheads.

im not sure if they're dynamic mics. I have been using them as overheads for recording now with no other mics on the set and it sounds perfect.

I just ordered the Audix Fusion 6 package.
I will let you know how they are when I recieve them on 10/5.

Then keep on usin em. If people speak so highly of the Audix 6 pack, then I would imagine the 4 pack is good too.
That's a pretty good starter drum mic kit. You won't regret it. The free 20' mic cables and 3 rim clamp mounts helps. You'll just need a decent stand for the bass mic. I strongly prefer to have the snare mic on a stand since the snare rim is used in a lot of songs. I worry about cross talk through any mic clipped to the snare, plus it a tight area around the snare with hihat and front tom crowding.
