I was wondering. I've got some drum pads, and I came up with an idea. Is there anyway I can put a trigger or something on one and connect it to a line in 1/4" or MIDI without using a brain or anything?

:)

To go to a mixer/interface to the computer.

But I don't think that'd make a difference. O well.

yeah pretty stupid question no offence, but i think you discovered its stupidity yourself.

Brains do alot more than a plain old mixer.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. Any question is a valid one.

Actually, you don't have to have a module, but you would have to have something that would act as a trigger to midi interface. Roland actually makes one called the TM-6. And you would have to run one of the drum software packs on your computer such as BFD or DFHS, which are about $300 each. They require a smoking fast computer and lots of hard drive space.

Well I've got a fast computer and a lot of hdd space, but not that kind of money. If there was a really cheap way to do it ($100-$150) then I would do it, but I have a lot of things that are high up on my list of financial priorities.
