...How do you guys like the Audix Fusion mics?
I just picked up the Fusion 6 Package off ebay for $186, $201 with shipping.
It is brand new, in B-Stock in a music store.
I was going to get the CAD mic package of 7, for around $170 bucks on eBay. When I saw the Audix I laughed, and thought I would never get it for the price I wanted to pay ($200<).
Contrary to what I thought, I won them. They should ship out today or tomorrow.
I'm just wondering what I should expect when I get them here.

I have only heard good things drum them...
I have used them for gigging and touring and they have performed well! They get a good sound, as long as your drums sound good before hand :)

the audix mics are pretty damn nice. they are however the weakest mic that i currently use in my setup, but for the price you can't go wrong for an "entry level" set of mics. i think they blow the nady/cad/samson quality mics out of the water.

Thanks cheif.
Also, what mounts do you use to mount your tom mics to your toms? I'm interested in getting some. I'd need about 2 for the toms, and one for the snare.

get stands dude, clips may be easier, but you can hear the shell really bad if you hit the rim or something with em, go stands all the way.

Alright. I can get a Nady mic/20" Cable/Boom Stand from Musicainsfriend for $20.
Not too bad if you ask me.
The mic sucks, but hey you get a decent cable and working stand for $20.

For live recording, the clips would be very handy...seeing that not as much people will notice "OMG his mics are picking up his shell vibration! Oh noes!", but if you're gonna use the mics in the studio DEFINITELY go with stands.

Alright.
Yeah, I won't be using the mics in a live situation.
Not yet atleast..
