The heart of the SF-1465 is its precision-formed brass shell, plated in lustrous black nickel, with center bead for strength and enhanced high-frequency projection. Brass tube lugs complement the beauty of the shell and allow unrestricted vibration for superb resonance and tone. The "ball-ends" of the lugs are gold plated with contrasting chrome-plated tubes. All the tension rods have been up-graded to machined Stainless steel for precise precision tuning action. Gold plated SuperHoop II triple flanged hoops and the road proven SR-017 vertical-pull strainer with gold plated accents round out the sum of the SF-1465's superb components.
