Cymbals that arent abused wont break easy. You can hit hard and still have good technique. Another cause of break'age is overplaying. Having cymbals too small and/or too thin for a lot of firepower needed can cause break'age.
Recommendations...
-14" A New Beat Hihat
-18" and 20" A Medium or A Custom Medium or Z Custom Medium Crashes
-22" A Medium or A Ping or A Custom Medium or A Custom Ping or A Custom Projection or K Heavy or K Custom Rides

What type of sound are you going for though?
Do you like bright cymbals? Explosive rock cymbals? What? Describe your sound more, not the genre of music you play.

The HHX series is dark, warm, has a hint of trash and blends rather than cuts. For rock and punk music, I prefer cymbals with more cut, so I'd go with AA or AAX if you're staying with Sabian. Preferrably the AAXplosion/Stage crashes, which are popular choices for bright, cutting, shimmering crashes that can project through loud guitars. Don't get me wrong, HHX is very musical, and will most definitely work, it just depends on your sound and your preference.
And any cymbal, regardless of brand, will break easily with bad technique. If you treat your cymbals with respect, and practice good technique, your cymbals will live happier lives...and so will your wallet.

while i agree that cymbals don't break themselves and it's usually the owners fault, I will say that in speaking to a few employee's of local music stores, I have found out that the majority of the cymbals that have been broken by customers are zildjian and paiste, and of course wuhan. i do think that it is in how you play the cymbal that makes the difference but some companies cymbals tend to have more defects and tend to break easier than other companies cymbals. i am not saying this cause I'm a sabian owner but because I have never had problems with any sabian's i've owned but i have had issues (cracking) with some zildjian's i have owned.

Welll for cymbals, if you aren't looking for bright sounds, I'd say the Avedis A's line from Zildjian, like 14" Rock hi hats, Medium Crashes and the Ping Rides. If you are looking for a brighter sound, much more modern then consider the A Customs, Master sound hi hats, Crashes or if you are a hard hitter then Medium Crahes, and of course Ping Ride.
