i really like the position of his 13x11 tom.. any tips on how i can achieve that? btw, i play a 2002 pearl ELX kit.. with normal hardware..
fredz,
its possible to do it. i have a masters and i set it up pretty much exactly as it is in the picture. you just need to adjust the tom arm to accomodate the tom and then move the tom lower down tom arm, i do mine as if its almost off the arm itself. luckily i have opti-mounts and it gives me that 'extra' bit of an extension.
just spend a bit more time on it.. i'm sure u'll figure it out. thats how i got mine set up like that.
hope this helps,

When I use two rack toms, I set up the same way too. However, I use a 10 and 12 so my setup is more compact. Plus my 12 is 2 inches shallower than your 13 so it can get lower. I use a TH-98I on the 10 and a TH-98 on the 12. The TH-98 has a slightly longer arm that makes getting this position a piece of cake.
