I was wondering if anyone else had seen the man playing live this year ? I saw him at Ronnie Scotts jazz club in London and he was awesome. I was lucky enough too be only ten feet away from him sat next too his family and although my wife isn't the biggest drum fan she was so impressed she has asked to go again. Although he is a drumming legend he still had time to be pleasant and got his band "Vital Information" to sign my cd which for a fan for over twenty years meant quite a bit.

He did a clinic in my town.

He ruled. He is my hero.

I saw him (or I should say I heard him) back around 1981 when Journey was opening for the Stones. That was back in the days he was playing those real deep shell Sonar Signatures and he sounded great.

I'd love to catch a clinic and see him up close.

I'm planning on seeing him with Vital Information this summer :)

I will then burn my drums.

The band were real good and really seem to enjoy what they are doing. But then if you have the like of Steve Smith and Tom coster of Santana then just maybe they would be good. Also I got a signed "Frontiers" album the other day with Steve Smith, Ross Valory, Neil Schon, Steve Perry and Jon Cain all on it. Isn't that a great item too have. Now I have two Steve Smith autographs !:D
