When it comes to Masterworks our totally custom handmade series, you can only expect the highest quality materials and most superb workmanship possible. With virtually "The sky as the Limit" when it comes to shell configurations and finishes, there are still many drummers who after choosing the perfect shell composite- prefer the classic look of a fine wood finish to add elegance to the appearance of their creation.
I'd like to direct your attention to just one of our Artisan finish choices, Bubinga, also known as "Kevazingo" for you wood enthusiast. Its origin is of West Africa, from East Nigeria through Gabon to Zaire, the trees can reach heights of up to 145 feet and have very visible high roots. As a F.Y.I. Bubinga has many uses, of which include very fine architectural work, as well as highly prized musical instruments.
In the Masterworks Custom Shop, our wood specialists visually inspect and choose each individual piece to insure the absolute ultimate of quality standards with great attention to even the smallest of details.
Bubinga is a perfect Outer-Ply choice for any Masterworks shell composite, whether or not your drum is made from North American Maple, Scandinavian Birch or African Mahogany, in any shell thickness offered, or mix of all above, it will add a tremendous amount of style and class. It also compliments and accents any of the hardware plating options offered.
Remember Masterworks drums are truly handmade, one at a time to your specifications by an elite group of Pearl master-craftsmen!
