hey guys could you tell me what heads you have on your kit, why you chose them?

im asking becasue ive tried so clear pinstirpes, g2 clears and g2 coateds and so far i there is a battle between pinstripe clears and G2 coated

i have tried the Pinstrip on my 10 tom, i previously had a set of G2 clears but i swapped them for g2 coated which i now currently have.

what you think?

i have all evans on side snare (10'' fire cracker) i have a 300 reso and g2 coated

main snare i got reverse power dot and 500 reso

toms all have g2 coated tops and glass reso's

kick i got The A. Superkick II and why i got them.... i think they sound good lol

i have a EMAD for my kick and i FIANLY! got it to sound awsome. but im more concerned about my toms!

On my ELX I have Aquarian SKII and Regulator on my kick. It's a nice deep open sound, not a lot of attack. On my toms I have Remo Coated Emperors and Evans resonant. They have a lot of attack, warmth but not so punchy.

I have emperors on my toms and my side snare, an ambassador on my main snare and a powerstoke 3 on my bass drum (all coated remo)

i have an emad on my kick. and i LOVE the sound. ive got it tuned preety low and the big foam on and no internal muffling. also, i have EC2s on my tomes, and i love them.

I have an ambassador on my snare and im not too sure about it tho

cheers guys! i dont want to go for remo coated heads as the coating wears off really easy! so ill be getting anything coated by evans:D

Toms - Coated Emperors over Clear Ambassadors (nice and warm sound for my toms with a little bit of punch)
Snare - CS Emperor (Black Power Dot) over Hazy Ambassador (very sweet combination - the CS is very versatile and quite durable as well)

Still using the stock bass drum heads, probably going to pick up a Powerstroke 4 this weekend though.

I am using aquarians at the moment, PS2s on toms, Focus-X on the snare and an SK2 on the kick. Sounds nice.

I have the ebony pinstripes over ebony ambassadors on the toms, Ps3 clear bass batter, PS3 ebony bass resonant with a coated ambassador snare batter and hazy ambassador snare side. From what you are talking about i think the G2 coated is what you are looking for.

I use Aquarian Coated Studio X's for batters and Classic Clears for reso's on my toms. Bass drum is a Super Kick I for the batter side and a Coated Super Kick I for the reso side. Snare drum has a Hi-Energy on the batter side and Classic Clear Snare Side for the reso. Love all the heads! The coating is probably the best you can get on heads. Aquarian is definitly the way to go.

I have pinstripes clear on toms, and gonna get a powerstoke3 on bass. Ambassador coated on snare.

on my piccolo snare i have a clear ambassador snare side for reso and an evans g1 coated for batter..for a bigger snare i would go with the evans hd or genera dry with the vents..
and either an emad or powerstroke 3 for bass...i just got the powerstroke 3 for my batter and reso head for my bass and i love it!!

Remo weatherking coated ambassadors (except bass drum and snare.) They came with the drums when i got my kit!! I think i might get some Evans heads to put on them.

Hey man, I have remo on all drums, coated ambassador on both my main snare and my side snare and coated emperors on my toms, and they dont wear off east, I play hard on my toms, and I have to play a looong while before I even see a bit of the coating starting to wear off.

On bass I have clear powerstroke 3, killer sound!

Thats the experiences I have with coated heads, and I have been using them fore som years now.

Evans EC2's on my exports, with Evans MX1 on the bass drums (marching heads) and G1 coated on snare

Evans Black resonants on toms & snare, Aquarian regulator w/ 4" holes on bass drums

and of course.. 1 tab of moongel for my snare (helps G1's big time with focus)
