Did a gig last august at RFK Stadium in DC, the hot sun has wrinkled up the finish on my bass drum, is there a fix to smooth it back out????
Thanx!!

I am not sure about this first suggestion, so hopefully someone can help tell if I am correct or not, but I imagine you might be able to use a heating device (hairdrier) and blow it at the wrinkled area and maybe pull out the wrinkles once the wrap has been warmed up. I do know that if you want to remove a wrap, you use a heat gun or hair drier to heat the seam of wrap, and it allows you to pull up the wrap, so I am guessing that if you heat the right spot it will be uhh well malliable for lack of a better word.
other than that, you can always rewrap the drum. also let me give you a suggestion for the future. avoid outdoor gigs in the sun with a wrapped kit, but if you must, keep the kit covered at all times while its not being played.

if you search around the forum you will find threads about rewrapping drumkits, and where good sites that sell wraps are, but I think I remember hearing of some site called Sam Bernard or something like that that had lots of wraps. do a search though on this forum though.
