I'n no vintage expert, and it's hard to tell with only one photo, but i'd say.........early 60's?

It actually looks like a Slingerland kit with a Pearl Drum head.

HOLY TOM ANGLES, BATMAN!!!

(Well, somebody had to say it!!)

Are there any badges on the bass drum or toms? And can you get a closer pic of the lugs and the tom mount on top of the bass drum?

I think the finish is Blue Onyx (could be wrong, though) but I don't think Pearl ever had that wrap. Could be wrong again, there.

The floor tom looks to be upside down.

I’ve the same request as above for close ups...

It does look like those are pearl leg mounts on the floor tom.

Pearl started using “Blue Oyster Pearl” wrap and metal bass hoops in 1969, here's a page from their ‘69 catalog.

Thanks heaps guys, sorry im not able to get a closer photo of anything because it is not mine. I am wanting to buy it off an online auction site here in NZ. Similar to Ebay. What about the snare, does that look like a Pearl badge on it?

The six lug floor tom, dual rail tom mount and groovy finish would lead me to date this kit in the late 1960's.

The snare drum and bass drum pedal don't seem to be original to this kit.

The upside down floor tom is a nice touch. :)

Actually, allot of the floors had 7 lugs in the later 60's which is a real pain when trying to find hoops...like I am right now for one of my 69' kits..I thought the same about the snare when I saw it, but the lugs look like same era,but badge doesnt match the lugs...Weird....
