Hello,

I have an MBX 50th anniversary set in black mist from 1996. Out of curiousity, does somebody here happen to know to how many sets this one was limited back then?

We didn't sell 50th Anniversary drum sets in the US, only snare drums.

I've asked our headquarters for the information you seek.

Thank you for the trouble Gene. I'm in Europe and bought the set over here, of course.

Hey,
I'am thinking about buying an 5-piece (without snare) MBX 50th Anniversary in Holland (The Netherlands) for about 1650 euro (that's now $1500 ). It's in good shape, but I don't know nothing about the hwole drumserie. Can anyone give me the information that I need to know?

MBX is the 4-ply birch series with birch re-rings, isn't it? How do they sound? I've always wondered how they compared to the MMX (4-ply, 5mm maple) series.

this drum kit sounds wicked live and especially recorded in the studio. just an awesome drum kit. Always a tight fat sound.

Nice to have more drummers with this collectors item!

Shell specs: 4-ply, 5mm birch shells with reinforcement rings. Not sure if the rings are birch or maple.
