heres the (nearly) finished result, used to be nasty orange, now its a lovely 'aqua sparkle' courtesy of the wonderful Mr. Len Howe of classicdrums.com.

as you can see, the 12 tom is badged/complete, the 13 & 16 need the badges fitting ( getting tacks tomoro ) and the bass just needs the lugs/tom mount/spur holders fitting, which will take me 30 mins tomoro..... after that, i have a fully complete and dandy looking restored 70's pearl maxwin.
cost me around £120 all told, which was worth it simply becuse the drums are sound, the hardware is original and complete, plus i hate to see anything go to waste ;) . edit :- i have enough wrap to cover the 8 & 10 concert toms as well, so that will give me something to do this coming week !

Killer job. I'm about to fix up an old Maxwin snare. Restoring old drums is a wonderful thing.

the kit was all single headed, i have just bought matching lugs and fitted those today, so now i have a 'normal' bass drum !

as for the avatar ;) , thats an old flame . I could divulge about her awesome figure, but i feel theres no need, you can see that for yourself :o
