Carl, anybody care to put a date on these toms? The lugs are kind of “flat iron” shaped. The badge is a thin aluminum “label” that says Pearl Challenger. The mounts are the 1969 & beyond Free Adjustable hex style.
12x8 and 13X9.
Thanks in advance!

I may not know the age, but I can say without a doubt this is one of my favorite finish, EVER.

I own the matching snare to that kit..Same color...Anyway,thats a early 70's lug design..We used it under the name TEMPRO also..It was the era right when we were getting away from rail mounts and pole mounts. It became the more beefy hex you see on the early fiber kits around 1972ish..We stayed with it for a while after the beefy ones were introduced, and used it on the entry level type kits..These Challanger kits were usually made for markets outside the US..
Hope that helps...

Thanks Carl,
You are certainly quick with the pics! Is that before or after coffee?
Other than both badges being bent, these two toms are in great shape and will likely end up on Ebay soon to help finance an upcoming restoration...
Which begs another question...?
In your opinion what currently available wraps best match original 1960’s Pearl Drum Company colors?
Edit: I'll make this a separate thread...
Thanks,
-Mr. B.
