I got this for $25 today. Then the guy said, "so how much is it REALLY worth?"
I think maybe $75-100, maybe a little more. No spurs, but the mounts are not stripped.
Or, I could just strip it down and sell the parts for a bit more. 00**

I could get the wingscrew from Jim Petty, but it would cost $7.

not bad... don't sell it for less than 50... at least get 25 bucks for the deal :)
actually post a pic of the inside of the bass drum... the wood, get that reso head batter edge in as well...
i sold a 12 inch tom like that on ebay for 145.00, but then again it was a more desirable wrap.... and in almost perfect condition...

Woah, nice find! The head on its own would be worth $25, and that there is a nice find. Get it all cleaned up, headed etc... and it'll sound killer! :D

I recently had a whole kit version of that model. It had the 4 legs, on the bass drum and on the floortom. Very nice drums, and the shell looks in good order, so i wouldnt strip it down for parts.

I could get $100 for the spur mounts; they have no pitting and the setscrews are not stripped. The lugs would go for $25, and the Set-o-Matic would fetch about$10. There are 12 claws and tees which would bring in $2.50-3.00 apiece for say $35. The hoops, with some repainting would probably fetch $60-80 (the inlay is great). So, exclusive of the shell, I might make $250.

almost forgot the badge and eyelet - another $10-15 (good 70s Niles eyelets are like gold, even though new badges with S/Ns are still available). Slingerland made their own eyelets, and there's nothing exactly like them available now.

^ thats theoretical.... best of luck to you... you really have to weigh whether or not it would sell better as a whole drum or part it out

Actually, it's not theoretical; there's no theory involved here. It might be hypothetical - it's not though, as I've done it before.
It's a lot easier to ship parts than it is to ship a 24" bass drum. ;)
