i'm gonna put one of these in "Show us Your Kits" too, but i figured i might get a faster response here.
I heard there aren't that many tonal differences between an SRX and an MRX so i'm thinkin about buyin a Session in order to save some dough. any photos of new Sessions will help so post whatever you got. Thanks

Just in case you haven't been
to our Color Selector (http://www.pearldrum.com/02_color.asp) yet.
Thanks,

Sorry Derek, but the pictures there aren't very good quality. Quite blurry in fact. Some of them even seem Photoshoped. They're just not very realistic at all and don't give a very good idea of what the colours actually look like. Not something you could base a purchase decision on. Is there anything you could do about this please?

Currently #288 Burnt Amber is not available as a 2003 finish. (sorry)
Is there another color you want or do you just want to see an image of the color? I 'll check with the art guys to see what they have.

That's disappointing to hear. I always though Burnt Amber was one of the better looking finishes. I guess that colour selector needs to be updated eh?
If possible, I'd like to see the Dusk Blue and Marine Blue Fade compared. And I'd also like a good look at the Vintage Fade too. Maybe you should just post pictures of all of them :P
Just kidding... I know you're a busy man. Thanks for the help though :)

WHY?????? :( I recently bought a srx snare drum in this color, and I plan to buy the full set (8", 10", 12", 14", 16", 22") in a year or two. Why isn't Burnt Amber available if it's the BEST srx color?

Orange isn't everyone's colour I guess. I like it myself, but I can certainly see how it would be too bright for a lot of other people. It doesn't make any business sense to offer an option on a product that most people won't choose anyways. I guess not many people are buying Burnt Amber, so Pearl isn't offering it anymore?

Yeah I know... but can they offer it as an special order? I mean, I NEED AN ORANGE SRX! IT'S MY COLOR. Anyway, look to the Igor Cavalera's drum set, it's fantastic.......and it's ORANGE!!!
Everyone I've shown my snaredrum have said a big "Ohhh" seeing the color so I think it's wrong to cancel it.......it's way better and classier than Vintage Fade or any other color in the srx series. I know it, IT'S A FACT.:(

Everything on that kit is so big and flat. Big and flat? That's an oxymoron! ;)
Umm... yeah... did we scare of Raymond? Raymond come back... Please? I want to see some pretty pictures :(

the Amber color was nice but since they currently aren't offering it, I would recommend Dusk Blue. Awesome color. I bought mine a year ago and I LOVE IT!!!

I like the color too - Right now we have these Burnt Orange MMX kits - there's only a few left - they were ordered as a LE color. Check it out below

I'd call that more of a red, but it's still a nice colour. Thanks a lot for all the help Raymond.

It's really Orange - just looks red because of the RGB format for the monitor.

i will say, for a kit around 2 grand, theres not a finish around as beautifull as vintage fade
