It sounds familiar. I think it's programmed to one of my car's pre-sets. Are you from this area?

No. One of the DJs from the station came up to me after our set at the NJ Metal fest and asked for a CD to play on his show. The DJs name was Marcus Wiley.

Ah. It's the Lehigh Carbon Community College radio station. Teeny weanie. I think they offer some courses in broadcasting. They do play some local original music.

downstairs.......i have never been there before though.......from what i heard........isnt the upstairs the restaurant? and downstairs is the stage?

The upstairs is the big stage and bar. Mostly for national acts and cover bands.

I'm not currently in a band though... I hope to start one over the summer once I have a house and a basement to rehearse in. Maybe the wife and I will stop over at the Main Gate on Friday...I'd love to meet some musicians and check out your BRX.

I just found out that they double booked Friday and we got the short end...no gig. "We'll make it up to you though." Yea right. We will be at the Shanty in Allentown on Saturday night though. C'mon out. It's more classy a place anyway. Let me know.

yo, i'm mike a drummer from a local band called Cheez Weezul... Kutztown PA, baby... i have no idea what the date is but when is ur next gig? Maybe we can meet up sometime and play together with our bands... my bassist and myself are playing some funk/drum groove over at Alexanders Bar and Grill (new jerusalem) this thurs. night at 9:00 i believe... anyone else from the area?

I've played at Alexanders several times with a Band named Small Change. I'm no longer with them though. We're at Croc Rocks this Saturday afternoon doing a benefit for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Allentown. Stop on by.

What jazz fest you are going to or playing at? Where is it? The guy at Alexanders is disorganized. He always seemed to have his bookings screwed up. We would show up and there would be two other bands or acoustic acts there as well. Ah well.

Yeah the guy was pretty disorganized.... we got there and some other band was supposed to go on at 10... we showed up at nine and said that we called so we moved their equipment off the stage and set up... it was cool, we played all improve music... the band that jammed after us was good...they sounded great but nothing was original... but i made a lot of good contacts... any decent places to play that you know of? My parents want to keep my band out of the bars as much as possible... (i'm 16) but let me know... sam do you have aim? my screenname is CWeezulDM... ~mikeym

A little to the west in the Harrisburg area - but nice to see some dudes close by...

I'll be playing tonight @ a bar called Carnahan's in New Cumberland, PA with a straight chicago-style blues band "The Late Nite Boys" (www.lateniteboys.com)...

Also look for my main band 'The Voodoo Love Hounds' in and around the area - Blues, R&B, Soul, Funk ... (www.voodoolovehounds.com)
