Heres a question for you pearl historians,
In what time period did pearl use the oval badges?
I ask this because i own a kit with those type of badges and im trying to work out around what year my kit was made. Im guessing late 50s early 60s?

AHHHHHHHHH HAAAAAAAAAA..

Here's the catch..They used this in the 50's and 60's...In between they used the Roger's type script badge. Kinda weird..Like they used it, changed it to script, then went back to oval . I have several drums with oval badges, but different variations of it..Some are like this one-late 60's. The earlier ones look like this one, but will say "Made in Japan" or "Chiba Japan" underneth it.
Even earlier were like the Premier "P" around the air hole.

Gene and I have been finding that different badges were used for manufacturing in different countries.

Hope that helps

Yes it does, Thanks. The badges on my kit are exactly like the badge i posted with my original thread. It looks as though pearl couldnt make up their mind on what badges to use. Ill post up my kit when i eventually get my hands on a camera
