View Full Version : I need your help everyone!
For my psychology project, we have to come up with a list of specific lingo or terms that are unique to a certain group that we belong to. Of course I thought of drumming. So, if you guys can spare a couple of seconds to help me out, I would appreciate it. What sort of drumming-specific terms can you think of? (Eg: 'Click track', groove, chops, doubles, single-strokes, behind the beat, etc.). I have to mention that this your responses may be included in my presentation, I need to obtain your consent. If you have a problem with me using your responses and don't want your terms included, just mention that if you decide to post. Thanks in advance to my community of fellow drummers!:)

Here's a few mostly used for drumlines...
Tight, bag, dirt/dirty, pit, battery, anchor (bottom bass), set (as in "get set"), shot, back-sticking, cheese (and the other contemporary rudiments mainly used in drumlines), double stops...
I know there's a lot more, but my brain just went blank. :D
